Why We Built This Site
Public court information can be hard to route in a rural county. A traffic citation, a small claim, a felony after bind-over, and a district civil case do not all belong to the same clerk. Sioux County also uses the Nebraska Judicial Branch’s statewide JUSTICE case-information service rather than a separate county search database. The resource brings together the official starting points for those routes without claiming to be the custodian of any record.
What You Will Find Here
- Official routes for criminal court dockets and civil court dockets.
- How the court schedule and case register work together when a hearing date needs confirmation.
- Instructions for a docket search by party name or case number through Nebraska’s case-information services.
- Clerk, copy, and access information for court case records, including the difference between a docket entry and a certified copy.
What We Cannot Do
This private resource cannot retrieve a court file, issue a certified copy, alter a hearing date, accept a filing, seal a record, or advise a person about a pending matter. Those actions remain with the court that owns the case and its clerk. JUSTICE search results, the Multi-Court Case Calendar, and the public terminal are access routes, not substitutes for the clerk’s current record.
Michelle Zimmerman is the Sioux District Court clerk. Joni Roberts is the County Court clerk magistrate, with County Court staffing routed through Dawes County Court. The correct office depends on the court level.
Search Partners
Some content pages include a third-party sponsored search widget. Its provider controls the service, results, pricing, and privacy practices. Official Sioux County court information is maintained by the relevant clerk, the Nebraska Judicial Branch, and the Nebraska Legislature, not by this resource or a sponsored search provider.
